Formula Pattern Practice Game
Teacher plays one hand and the student play the other hand. By doing so, the student is required to name the key for the first round, and the teacher is for the next round. The hand shifting can be twice in the game, and the key naming can be 5 times.

- Hanon Scales, Chords and Arpeggio practice.
Performance Piece(s) Playing and Analysis:
The student needs to play what the teacher assigned in the last class, for example Pierrot and Pierrette by Amy Beach (p. 28). The teacher gives suggestions of the performance, including correcting mistakes and movement. The teacher explains how to demonstrate long slur sentences and short sentences, by using wrists movement.

Students can guess the name of the intervals, and then they can try to sing the notes. When the student is wrong on chords, the teacher will give the one that he or she names, to let them compare both. After playing chords, teacher will give a chord progression to let the student name it.
